WHO * Regional Meeting 2023 *

In September 2023, WHO’s BCI unit hosted a Regional Meeting where 48 Member States shared findings and activities on factors shaping health behaviours to improve policies, services, and communication.

Brief was to create a look and feel for the event that reflects human health in diverse societal contexts.

  • The event identity was designed to feel human, hopeful, and grounded in vitality. A clean, adaptable logo was paired with hand-drawn primary and secondary illustrations. The color palette and typography were intentionally warm and minimal. The result was a cohesive, memorable visual system that was both culturally sensitive and visually distinctive—striking a balance between approachability and authority.

  • The primary and secondary illustrations were hand-drawn on iPad, combining textured fills with expressive linework to evoke a sense of humanity. Supporting icons depicted nature, health, food, children, and the environment—visually capturing the many factors that shape well-being. The style was warm, distinctive, and instantly recognizable.

  • The event required a suite of designed materials—brochures, reports, lecterns, photo backdrops, signage, name tags, roll-ups, folders, and more. The design system had to be clean, warm and intuitive for a diverse group of international representatives to navigate with ease.
