Hi, Iโ€™m Radhika โ€” an independent designer and illustrator/artist with almost 20 years of experience working across industries, continents, and creative contexts.

My work moves between systems-thinking and soul-searching: Thinking in layers โ€” zooming out to understand the bigger picture, zooming in to finesse every detail.

I design for impact and illustrate/paint for insight. Whether it's branding for humanitarian orgs or painting the shape of anxiety, I bring care, clarity, and curiosity to everything I make.

  • I design visual identities, campaigns, reports, packaging, and social media assets โ€” for purpose-driven organisations, thoughtful founders, and creative teams who care about clarity and impact.

I illustrate for editorial, publishing, and personal projects. Sometimes I help shape a brand strategy; other times, I plug into existing guidelines to build design systems that work hard and feel right.

  • My process is thoughtful, collaborative, and efficient. I like to begin with big-picture thinking โ€” and then get deep into the details. I ask thoughtful questions, listen well, and work best when there's trust and mutual respect.

  • Sometimes I work digitally โ€” on an iPad or as vector art โ€” to meet a brandโ€™s visual language.

Other times, I hand-paint to explore the invisible: inner narratives, emotional textures, and quiet moments. My style is inspired by Indian folk traditions, and I use natural pigments and fine brushes in a slow, meditative process.

  • Beauty doesnโ€™t need to be comfortable or even resolved โ€” but it should be unforgettable. Iโ€™m drawn to work thatโ€™s emotionally rich, conceptually sharp, and visually distinct.
    Not always pretty. Always meaningful.

  • Sometimes you need structure. Sometimes you need story. I bring both. My background in design keeps things purposeful and clear; my love for illustration brings emotional depth and unexpected edges. This overlap is where my work often comes alive.

  • Iโ€™ve worked inside agencies, with in-house teams, and as a long-term creative partner. I can lead, support, or slot in where needed. Iโ€™m easy to work with (so Iโ€™ve been told), deadline-conscious, and great at translating vision into something visual.

  • I live in Copenhagen and work remotely with clients across time zones. Iโ€™m expat-friendly, async-savvy, and culturally attuned.
